Frequently asked questions
What is the recruitment process?
Like many companies, we’ve had to adapt our recruitment process to fit into COVID-19 guidelines. While the recruitment process can change depending on the role – typically, our process has three steps. The first step is a 30-minute phone interview to get to know more about you. If we’re all on the same page, you’ll then progress to an hour-long virtual interview (via Zoom). Some roles may also include a technical test or task to complete, which will form part of the hour-long virtual interview. If this is a requirement, we will share those details with you in plenty of time to prepare. From here, there is typically a final virtual interview. Once things normalise again, we will return to holding interviews in-person.
Do you offer any equity?
We believe it’s important that all of our employees own a piece of the puzzle they are helping to build and because of that all successful candidates will be offered share options as part of their offer. Simply put, if AppyWay does well, so do our employees!
When will I hear back on my application?
We typically review all applications within a few days of you applying. If we feel there could be a match we aim to get back in touch with you the same week. Unfortunately, due to the large number of applications we receive it’s not always possible for us to respond to each applicant, so if you do not hear from us we’ve felt we have other candidates that are more suited to the position.
Can I send in a speculative application?
Absolutely! If your dream role isn’t advertised on our careers site please feel free to get in touch via info@appyway.com. We’re always interested in finding the perfect people to help push us forward.
Do you provide visa sponsorship or relocation assistance?
Unfortunately we are unable to provide visa sponsorship and/or relocation assistance. All our roles are UK based and require you to have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
Are all of the roles based in London, UK?
The majority of our roles are based in London. From time to time, we do offer roles outside of London, however this will be noted on the job description if it’s an option. Right now, our team is working remotely, due to COVID-19, but when it is safe to do so we will be returning to office, based in Farringdon, in the heart of Central London.
I’m from a recruitment agency, can we work together?
We work on an exclusive basis with a small selection of recruitment agencies, therefore please do not get in touch with us unsolicited – it only wastes both of our time!
Do you offer work experience or internships?
We don’t offer a formal work experience or internship programme however feel free to get in touch with us at info@appyway.com and we’ll do our best to accommodate you!
What is your holiday allowance?
We believe downtime is important and therefore our standard holiday allowance is a generous 25 days per calendar year excluding bank holidays (33 days total). We also give every employee an additional days worth of holiday for every year they have worked for us up to a maximum of 3 days over 3 years, rewarding those who stick around!
