We are thrilled to announce that AppyWay, in partnership with the London Borough of Lambeth, has been named a finalist in the prestigious Decarbonising Transport Awards!

Our joint entry—the Kerbside Strategy Dashboard using KurBi has been recognised for its data-driven approach to kerbside management and its critical role in urban decarbonisation.

Turning Data into Decarbonisation

The London Borough of Lambeth has set an ambitious target to reallocate 25% of its kerbside space to sustainable uses. This is no small feat in a bustling metropolitan environment, but it is essential for reducing private car dependency and accelerating the delivery of green infrastructure like cycle lanes, parklets, and EV charging points.

Through our platform, KurBi, Lambeth can now:

  • Track Progress: Gain real-time visibility into how kerbside space is being used and reallocated.
  • Drive Strategy: Use high-resolution data to identify where sustainable infrastructure will have the greatest impact.
  • Reduce Emissions: By prioritizing active travel and shared mobility over private vehicle storage, the project directly contributes to the borough’s Net Zero goals.

A Word from AppyWay

Lambeth’s forward-thinking approach is part of a much larger shift. We are seeing a significant surge in interest across the board, with more and more of our clients looking to build robust kerbside strategies. Local authorities are realising that the kerb is no longer just a place to park a car; it is a primary tool for hitting climate targets and improving urban livability.

Being named a finalist reflects the incredible vision of the London Borough of Lambeth and the hard work of the AppyWay team. KurBi was built to turn complex kerbside data into actionable insights, and seeing it empower Lambeth to meet their 25% reallocation target is incredibly rewarding. We’re seeing more and more of our clients looking to develop similar kerbside strategies, and we’re proud to provide the data foundation they need to move away from car dependency and toward a sustainable future.
